Two of clubland’s stalwart DJs, Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin, have pooled their years of experience to throw the friendliest of parties in venues ranging from intimate spaces to raw warehouses, but they still manage to attract big-name special guests. 3. One Step Beyond
The Rose Center for Earth and Space becomes uptown’s unlikeliest nightlife destination with a stellar roster of DJs, hipster chicks and spacey visual projections. 4. New York Night Train Soul Clap & Dance-Off
The night’s impresario and DJ, Mr. Jonathan Toubin, wields an impressive stack of rare, dusty soul 45s. Even if you’re flagging when the party starts at midnight, you’ll be caught up in the second wind Toubin blows through the dance floor. Flail around with enough passion and you may even win $100 in the dance contest.
