By Thursday or Friday, Cambodian sandwich shop (don’t call it a Bánh mì!) Num Pang will open its first expansion in Midtown after debuting downtown over two years ago. With the move comes a roomier space—anyone who has been to the original will recall the cramped dining room that overlooks a parking garage—along with a larger kitchen and an expanded menu. There will be a lineup of “classic” sandwiches from downtown like Pulled Duroc Pork and Hoisin Veal Meatballs in addition to a list of rotating specials. Co-Owner Ratha Chau says certain items like the Roasted Chicken ‘Chimi’ sandwich, making its debut at the new shop, just aren’t possible with the limited space available at the original location.
Num Pang will begin delivery service within the next few weeks and will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and noon to 9 p.m. on weekends. [thefeast.com] Num Pang Midtown Menu.
